Golden Vertex Corp is a mining company based in Bullhead City, AZ. The Moss Mine Complex is a precious metal, open pit surface mine specializing in gold/silver extraction. Golden Vertex was recently acquired by new ownership (Mako Mining Corp) and is under new management. The Company operates the Moss Mine located in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, approximately a one hour and a half drive south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Golden Vertex Corp is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Mine Surveyor for our Moss Mine project.

Job Summary

Golden Vertex Corp. is seeking a highly motivated Mine Surveyor to support the daily operations and planning activities at the Moss Mine Complex. The Mine Surveyor is responsible for collecting accurate spatial data of the mining areas, supporting production, engineering, and environmental compliance, and ensuring survey integrity in a dynamic, open-pit mining environment. Candidate Must be a US Citizen or possess a Work VISA compliant with I-9 regulations.

Duties

- Conduct daily surveys to support pit development, ore control, and construction activities.

- Perform topographic, volumetric, and control surveys using GPS, total stations, and drone (UAV) technologies.

- Maintain and update mine site maps, pit designs, stockpile volumes, and leach pad progress.

- Work closely with geologists, engineers, and operations personnel to ensure accurate spatial representation of mining features.

- Set out and maintain mine infrastructure such as blast patterns, haul roads, pit limits, and utility locations.

- Process and analyze survey data using AutoCAD, Surpac, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent software.

- Maintain survey records, databases, and backups according to company protocols.

- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with MSHA regulations and site safety standards.

- Participate in cross-functional project teams and contribute to short- and long-term mine planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, or a related field preferred.

- 2+ years of experience in mine surveying, preferably in an open-pit, surface mining operation.

- Proficient with survey instruments (GPS, Total Station, drones/UAVs) and relevant software (AutoCAD, Surpac, Trimble, GIS).

- Strong understanding of mine site safety practices and MSHA regulations.

- FAA Part 107 certification (preferred) for UAV operation or willingness to obtain.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently in physically demanding outdoor conditions and terrain.
