Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of general labor and maintenance work necessary to keep plant facilities, machinery, and equipment in operable condition. The role will directly assist the Plant Manager in day-to-day operations of the plant and provide general maintenance and/or repair work as needed.

Essential Functions:

- Repair and maintain a variety of plant equipment and machinery.

- Keep equipment and machinery in a good and safe working condition.

- Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment/machinery under the guidance and supervision of the Plant Manager.

- Maintain open, accurate, and positive communication with other employees and the Plant Manager.

- Ensure safety rules are followed at all times.

- Inspect and service overhead cranes to maintain safe operating environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Assist the Plant Manager or other employees in all areas of the plant as needed.

- Perform other maintenance duties involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, housekeeping, or other tasks associated with the improvement of plant facilities, equipment, or machinery.

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- General equipment/machinery maintenance experience required.

- Previous machinist experience is a plus.

- Service and inspection of overhead crane systems preferred.

- Electrical experience, specifically three-phase power, preferred

- Should possess excellent problem-solving and/or troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with a variety of hand tools and equipment is beneficial.

- The ability to work positively with others is essential.

- Must be motivated and possess a good work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

- May occasionally work from heights greater than 6 feet. Must not be afraid of heights.

- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting.

- May work in a variety of weather conditions.
