Millwork Design Engineer

GANAS is seeking an experienced Millwork Design Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of experience engineering and detailing architectural millwork, cabinetry and furniture.

Core Responsibilities

•

Read and accurately interpret architectural and interior design drawings.

•

Create parametric 3D models, 2D drawings, and CNC programming

•

Manage all aspects of your projects, including modeling, drawings, and hardware/material specifications.

•

Work directly with clients, architects, and designers to drive design and engineering for manufacturing.

•

Apply detail-oriented problem solving with excellent time management and communication skills.

•

Utilize extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods (metal, wood, lighting, stone, and glass)

•

Stay current with innovative construction methods and material selections.

•

Collaborate effectively with the Project Management team to complete tasks on schedule.

Qualifications

•

2+ years of experience in engineering Architectural Millwork

•

Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards

•

Proficiency in 3D modeling using Fusion360, Inventor, or Solid Works

•

Experience designing for fabrication using 3 and 5-axis CNC machines

•

Education in architecture or design

•

Strong familiarity with architectural/engineering standards and building practices

•

Ability to problem-solve with incomplete information and adapt to shifting priorities

•

Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

•

Curiosity and eagerness to learn about new materials and processes

•

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
