•Handle, process, and analyze produced water samples following established laboratory protocols.
•Perform aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample handling and analysis.
•Conduct gram-staining procedures and interpret results accurately.
•Conduct and monitor growth tube experiments to assess microbial activity and document findings.
•Utilize microscopy to analyze and document microbial samples, including proper digital imaging techniques.
•Accurately create stock solutions using established standardized protocols and monitor stock solutions to ensure they are devoid of contamination.
•Prepare and assemble sample collection kits for clientele, ensuring all necessary materials and instructions are included.
•Assist with tracking and updating laboratory inventory supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
•Apply basic biochemistry and microbiology principles to conduct tests and report findings.
•Maintain accurate laboratory records and document results in compliance with quality control standards.
•Ensure laboratory equipment, including microscopes, is properly maintained, calibrated, and used according to safety protocols.

The laboratory is set to move from California to Texas in approximately two years.
Education
Required
•Bachelors or better in Microbiology or related field
