Are you in? Primary Purpose: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Management responsibility and accountability for the account management, business processes and systems required for Retail Electric Suppliers (RESs), Customer Self Managers (CSMs), Metering Service Providers (MSPs) and General Account Agents (GAAs) to register and succeed in a restructured retail environment in accordance with State legislation and rules and policies as approved by the ICC and ComEd. Management responsibility for the design, testing, implementation and documentation of the rules, policies, business processes and systems required to successfully implement new State legislative programs. Manage Account Managers and Analysts in Department, perform account management and business processes as required and support other ComEd organizations with design and implementation of strategic initiatives. Note: Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties: PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Management responsibility for account management activities for RESs, CSMs and MSPs. Responsible for ensuring inquiries from retail market participants are addressed and resolved including questions and issues associated with retail customer metering, billing, enrollments, tariffs and market participant requirements in the PJM wholesale marketplace. Facilitate proactive communications associated with current and future ComEd retail choice market structures. Communicate requirements and implement business processes required for new RESs, CSMs and MSPs to successfully register and participate in ComEd retail choice programs. Provide direct supervision and support for Department Account Managers. (35%)
•Management responsibility for ensuring the daily functions, business processes and systems required for market participants to enroll in retail choice programs and tariffs are fully documented and accomplished accurately and in accordance with ComEd retail tariffs, business rules and policies. Management responsibility for performance of GAA processes and retail customer billing analyses. Responsible for the daily functions, business processes and systems required to produce and deliver historical retail customer usage data resulting from market participant data requests and billing market participants for those services. Provide direct supervision and support for Department Analysts. (35%)
•Management responsibility for the successful design, testing, implementation and documentation of the business processes and systems required to successfully implement new State legislative programs and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include working across departments to design, test, implement and document associated rules, policies, business processes and systems. (20%)
•Provide leadership in promoting a safe, motivated, productive and diverse workforce. Provide leadership, development and coaching of direct reports. (10%)
Job Scope: JOB SCOPE
The energy, capacity, transmission service and ancillary services purchased and delivered by RESs exceeds $2.5 billion annually. Retail market design issues affect the entire ComEd business model. Daily processes affect retail customer billing, short-and long-term load and financial forecasts and after-the-fact reporting and settlement throughout ComEd. ComEd Electric Supplier Services continually works with senior members of Energy Acquisition, Regulatory & External Affairs, Customer Operations and Load Forecasting in performing daily responsibilities and supporting strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or related field and minimum 7-10 years of business experience or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience.
•Familiarity with restructured retail marketplace and Exelon Utilities' retail tariffs, billing and enrollments
•Familiarity with wholesale marketplace PJM business rules
•Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Ability to solve complex problems, make decisions and proactively resolve external counterparty issues
•Experience representing Company positions in external forums
Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Pursuit or completion of MBA
•Electric utility industry experience preferred

•Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $109,600.00/Yr. – $150,700.00/Yr.
