We’re searching for a driven and detail-oriented Metals Analyst (ICP-MS) to join our team in Houston, TX to deliver accurate, timely results that our clients depend on. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples using ICP, ICP-MS, and CVAA instrumentation in accordance with established methods and SOPs. What You’ll Do
•Perform sample digestions for metals analysis, turbidity testing, and filtration for dissolved metals
•Prepare calibration standards according to established methods and SOPs
•Operate ICP, ICP-MS, or CVAA instrumentation to analyze digestates for specified elements
•Conduct data interpretation, review, and entry into LIMS
•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
What Makes You a Great Fit
•High school diploma or equivalent;
•Strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and basic math.
•Previous experience in a commercial laboratory setting is highly preferred;
•Familiarity with basic scientific procedures and measurement techniques;
•Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal;
•Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the Internet.
