Metallurgist Engineer

Keystone Profiles, Ltd., in Beaver Falls, PA, seeks a Metallurgist Engineer; Domestic Travel 5% job duties incl. Devp & optimize materials, steel & metallurgical process in connection w/ steel bar heat treatments for compliance w/cold draw, develop & oversee heating & cooling cycles for low & medium carbon steels; coord various furnaces (ex. coil anneal & long furnaces, ceramic isolation, etc) to meet material specs, certify steel under intl standards (ASTM, AMS, ISO, NACE, SAE, etc); prepare & validate MTRs; conduct tests ex. decarburization, fractography, hardness & microstructural analysis; coordinate w/external laboratories; develop engineering specs for new materials & evaluate mechanical, physical & chemical properties; propose alternative materials w/o compromising performance/machinability; conduct process & quality audits in hot bar rolling mills (SBQ & MBQ); implement engineer management systems on steel processing; provide tech support to clients, evaluate business opportunities & conduct materials feasibility, participate in finite element simulations preferably using ANSYS. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/electrical engineering, materials science, metallurgy or related engineering or technical field. Min. exp reqts: 48 mo in job offered, or 48 months in metallurgy engineering, material engineering; mechanical engineering or related field.
