We are looking for an experienced Metallurgist to support New Found Gold’s mill operations located at Pine Cove near the town of Ming’s Bight on the Baie Verte peninsula. The Pine Cove gold mill is a key part of the Company’s plan to operate the Hammerdown Gold Project in the Baie Verte mining district of Newfoundland and Labrador. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in continuing the New Found Gold’s gold mine production. Reporting to the Mill Manager, the Metallurgist is responsible for optimizing metallurgical processes to support to the Pine Cove mill maintenance and operations.

Your Role in the Expedition: As a Metallurgist, you’ll be part of a dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring and optimizing metallurgical processes to ensure efficient gold recovery. • Conducting sampling and analysis of ores and concentrates.

- Troubleshooting operational issues in milling and refining processes.

- Collaborating with maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.

- Preparing technical reports and recommending process improvements.

- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

- Other related duties as required.

What You Bring to the Field:

- Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mineral processing or gold milling operations.

- Experience with a Merrill Crowe Process would be an asset.

- Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching.

- Proficiency in sampling, assay techniques, and process optimization. • Familiarity with metallurgical software and data analysis tools.

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

- Ability to work collaboratively and positively with team members.

- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

- Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
