Metal Stamping and Fabrication Production Support Staff

Crenshaw Die and Manufacturing is a manufacturer of metal machining, stamping and fabrication products based in Southern California and in continuous operation for more than 55 years. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time shop support staff at our manufacturing plant in Huntington Beach, California.

The shop support staff are responsible for performing various tasks to facilitate the fabrication process including deburr, sand, operate small hand tools and machine wash plant as required. This is an entry level position with advancement to machine operator, set up technician after 3 months of employment with satisfactory performance.

Support staff are required to follow established procedures and guidelines. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. This position reports to a shift supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

- Perform necessary activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment

- Operate/monitor pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops

- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

- Utilize any necessary safety gear

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
