Busy Metal Fabrication shop looking for Office help

Metal Fabrication: material take-offs, sourcing materials, estimating, detailing, client communications, assisting project manager, and running errands. Basic AutoCAD and the ability to draw a simple CAD drawing. Proficiency with Excel and Word.

A small family owned blacksmith/metal fabrication shop with a friendly casual environment is looking for assistance. Our company specializes in creating highly custom metalwork for discerning clients. This is a creative environment were your input is valued. We prefer full time but will offer flexibility as needed for the right person. Love of the arts, knowledge of building and how things are made is a plus. The right person should not be afraid to get their hands dirty occasionally.

Duties include creating and breaking out shop drawings for use, light detailing work, assisting with estimates and take offs, assisting our project manager as needed with deadlines and client correspondence, sourcing materials and running errands. Ideal position for people that need flexibility, may be reentering the work force, who loves working in the trades but desires a less stressful environment or a recent graduate in a related field looking to gain further experience.

The ideal candidate must have basic experience with Auto Cad and the ability to draw a simple CAD drawing, Excel and Word, be organized and detail orientated, have experience or education in construction, estimating, metal fabrication, project management or a related field.

Pay dependent upon experience, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days, SEPIRA

Hours are Monday-Friday 8-4:30

Shop is located in Western Suffolk county

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
