Coterra is hiring a Mechanic for our Montrose, PA office.
The Mechanic for Coterra will focus primarily on fleet maintenance, including but not limited to, small equipment, pick-ups, and heavy trucks. Expected to maintain the fleet, facility and grounds in a safe and professional manner. This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman out of our Montrose, PA office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Repair and maintenance of heavy-duty truck fleet in compliance with DOT regulations and Coterra safety policies.
•Repair and maintenance of light-duty truck fleet in compliance with DOT regulations and Coterra safety policies.
•Repair and maintenance of small equipment fleet in compliance with Coterra safety policies.
•Perform road call service as needed for all Coterra equipment.
•Maintain and protect the maintenance facility, equipment, and grounds.
•Adhere to all safety rules and responsibilities.
•Ensure completeness and accuracy of all submitted paperwork.
•Support the efficient operation of Coterra.

•Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe, professional manner.
•Valid driver’s license is required. Class A or B CDL preferred.
•Ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision.
•Advanced knowledge of automotive or diesel systems including brakes, suspension, drive line, fuel, air, and electrical.
•Basic computer skills including the ability to quickly learn our work order system.
•Ability to troubleshoot diagnostic codes using OEM software applications.
•Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Skilled in torching and welding tasks.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: High School or GED equivalent
Preferred: Vocational or Technical School Certificate in Automotive or Diesel Technology.
Preferred: Air Brake Certification
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Two (2) years combined work and/or minimum vocational/technical certification on light, medium and heavy-duty applications.
Preferred: Four years combined work and education/training with background in Diesel Technology
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work is typically performed indoors. Exposure to conditions, such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company vehicles and equipment. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting (50+ lbs), and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders for 12 hours at a time. Personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
•Less than 5% travel required
•This position requires a valid state issued driver’s license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire. Incumbents in the position may be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings as per the DOT Regulations. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks.
