Mechanic

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop/Field Mechanic to service, diagnose, and repair our fleet of oilfield rental equipment, trucks, and trailers. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, diesel experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of oilfield rental equipment

- Diagnose and troubleshoot telehandlers, light plants, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems

- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, trucks, and trailers

- Inspect, repair, and service trailers including brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems

- Use diagnostic tools and follow repair procedures to ensure reliable operation

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards

- Work efficiently under supervision of the Lead Mechanic and Supervisor

Qualifications

- Experience working with telehandlers or similar heavy equipment

- Strong understanding of hydraulic and diesel systems

- Ability to diagnose and repair oilfield and rental equipment

- Skilled in PM maintenance and trailer repairs

- Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required

- Field experience in the oilfield or construction industry a plus

- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience

- Diesel Mechanic background

- Familiarity with diagnostic software and hydraulic schematics

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 – 80 per week
