Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with expertise in various mechanical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles including HydroVacs, trailers, tractors, pick-ups, pumps other and heavy equipment.

- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

- Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT)

- Service tires, including installation, rotation, and repair.

- Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently.

- Utilize power tools for various repair tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

- Execute brake repairs and other mechanical services as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used, and processes all associated paperwork, timesheets, field tickets.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

- Proven mechanical experience of 3 years is preferred in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with tractor-trailer systems, diesel and gas engines.

- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.

- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.

- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- A valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to mechanics are a plus.

- Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
