Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of automotive systems, as well as the ability to work with both hand and power tools. The Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, providing exceptional service to our customers.

Duties

- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various types of vehicles, including automotive, farm machinery, and heavy equipment.

- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and alignment checks.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.

- Repair or replace components such as transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems.

- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, and forklifts safely and efficiently.

- Fabricate parts as needed using welding techniques and hand tools.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role; dealership experience is a plus.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, diesel engine repair, and equipment repair.

- Familiarity with electrical systems and diagnostics is preferred.

- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.

- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Experience with heavy lifting; ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.

Pay: From $2,559.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
