In this role, you will:
- Support data team members in gathering and documenting business requirements
- Help analyze, profile, and map data to business and maintenance metrics
- Assist in building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines that move data from source systems into analytical datasets and BI tools
- Learn how raw data is ingested, transformed, validated, and prepared for reporting and analytics
- Support the preparation of data and environments for testing new reports, dashboards, and pipeline changes
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements or user stories
- Participate in discovery sessions, workshops, and fit/gap discussions to understand business problems and possible solutions
- Contribute to documentation such as process flows, data flows, data definitions, and simple technical specifications
- Support user testing, training materials, and solution roll-out activities
- Learn how project teams coordinate timelines, scope, and dependencies
- Follow company standards and best practices related to safety, security, and data integrity
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field)
- Interest in business analysis, data analytics, and/or business intelligence
- Some experience working with data (coursework or projects using SQL, Excel, Python, R, or similar tools)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable communicating ideas clearly in writing and conversation
- Willingness to learn new tools, business concepts, and technical skills
- Exposure to BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset
- Familiarity with databases, cloud platforms, or basic data modeling concepts is an asset
- Awareness of Agile or Scrum concepts through coursework or group projects is an asset
- Interest in industrial, maintenance, or operations-focused business environments is an asset

- Acquire hands-on experience applying academic knowledge to real-world mining operations, fostering the development of technical skills
