Job Description: The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, staging, and moving materials within the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and safety-focused work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
•Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials; verify accuracy against packing slips and enter data into the ERP system.
•Issue and distribute products and supplies according to work orders and production schedules.
•Perform material staging activities to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
•Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories.
•Band, wrap, and prepare pallets and materials for storage or shipment.
•Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Purchasing departments to ensure materials meet inspection standards prior to storage.
•Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including labeling, documentation, and transport coordination.
•Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively; maintain certification.
•Maintain inventory accuracy through timely updates in the ERP system.
•Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with safety and operational standards.
•Perform other related duties as assigned to support the warehouse and production teams.
Position Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
•Entry level position, 0-2 years in a manufacturing, construction, or oil field environment preferred.
•Prior experience in a warehouse, inventory, or material handling role is an asset.
•Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
•Forklift certification and/or experience operating material handling equipment.
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
•Competence in using computers and entering data accurately.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and safety awareness.
•Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, walk, and sit for extended periods.
