About This Job

Job Position: Material Handler

Responsibilities

•

Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to designated project locations.

•

Maintain accurate inventory of electrical materials using tracking software and manual logs.

•

Operate forklifts, skid steers, knuckle booms, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently as needed.

•

Assist electricians and jobsite personnel with material deliveries and organization.

•

Ensure work areas, storage areas, and loading zones remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

•

Prepare materials for shipment and/or return, including packing, labeling, and documentation.

•

Support site set-up and tear-down, including unloading and staging large or bulky electrical components.

•

Inspect and maintain assigned equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with regulations.

•

Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications

•

Previous experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or similar setting (preferred).

•

Familiar with use of hand and power tools (preferred).

Physical Requirements

•

Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time

•

Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures.

•

Must be physically capable of manually digging & back-filling holes and trenches.

•

Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
