The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials within our plant, including off-loading bulk chemicals, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth material handling processes.

•Material Handling: Perform accurate receipt, handling, storage, and disbursement of spare parts and consumables. Safely and efficiently off-load bulk chemicals from truck and railroad shipments. Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to unload delivery trucks and transport materials within the plant.
•Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies. Electronically receive parts into the Plant Maintenance system. Issue stock parts, both physically and electronically, out of the Plant Maintenance system to the proper equipment number.
•Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations by following company policies and procedures.
•Team Collaboration: Work with team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
•Inspections and Safety Training: Conduct regular inspections of materials and storage areas to ensure quality and safety. Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
•Goods Verification and Unloading: Accurately compare goods received by matching against original purchase orders and verify quantities delivered against bills of lading and / or packing slips. Unload incoming freight at the plant, including bulk chemical trailers.
•Stockroom Maintenance: Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the stockroom.
•Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
•Experience: Previous experience in material handling or a related field is preferred.
•Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating forklifts, unloading bulk tank trucks, and handling other material handling equipment.
•Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
•Paperwork Processing: Ability to process detailed paperwork and perform volume calculations.
•Record Keeping: Accurate record-keeping skills.
•Physical Requirements: Capability to lift and move heavy materials. Ability to stand for several hours per day, climb stairs regularly, reach overhead, and carry weights up to 75 pounds.
•Computer Skills: General understanding of computer applications, including AS400.
•Overtime: Willingness to work overtime as directed.
Schedule: 1st shift, M-F, 8am-4pm
Starting Wage: $28 per hour
