Position Overview:
The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Production Schedules:
- Set up and maintain production schedules based on demand, forecast, inventory levels, and capacity constraints. Schedules will be maintained for cells identified as leading operations. i.e. Depts. 210 and 280
- Coordinate with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Material Control teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to address changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or capacity constraints
- Track schedule attainment for performance monitoring
- Identify and escalate potential schedule supply-demand mismatches
- Job / Work Order management:
- Utilizing ERP system create, print, and package work orders / job travelers for production, engineering, and rework activities
- Print appropriate part drawings with newest released revision and package with correct job packet
- Ensure quantity equality throughout operations job-to-job
- Monitor and adjust jobs per ERP suggestions
- Review Bill of Materials for material and routing inaccuracies. Communicate errors and / or issues to appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Audit job reporting at closing to ensure accuracy prior to closing. Any errors should be reported to team leader or production supervisor for correction.
- Periodic maintenance of open jobs on the floor set in the queue locations to review proper flow through the cells
- ERP data management:
- Assist Material Manager with updating and maintaining optimal MRP parameters (lead times, lot sizes, reorder points, etc.)
- Report production progress during glass wall meetings every workday; Plant goal is to attain a past due level of less than $20,000 monthly
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning systems, tools, and processes
- Special projects and various meeting attendance possible, as directed by Material Manager
- Related experience in scheduling, warehousing, line balancing, and material handling, delivery, and scheduling transportation negotiation is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written) are a requirement

- Results oriented individual with problem solving team building and coaching characteristics are preferred skill sets
- Candidate must be proficient in computer operations, inclusive of Internet tracking systems (FEDEX, UPS, etc.) excel, word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
