The Master Activity Scheduler plays a key role in developing and managing integrated schedules that align maintenance, operations, regulatory, and project activities across the business. This position ensures cohesive planning and execution by coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders, optimizing resource utilization, and proactively identifying constraints. The successful candidate will support strategic decision-making and drive schedule efficiency through collaboration, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement.
- Utilize the Petronas Maintenance Management System to maintain a clear overview of corrective and preventive maintenance backlogs and developing forward-looking draft schedules
- Develop integrated monthly maintenance schedules, ensuring alignment with key business activities
- Maintain close awareness of field progress and evolving priorities, seeking opportunities to optimize scheduling and add value to operations through improved planning and coordination
- Monitor and analyze maintenance plans, particularly for outages, shutdowns, and equipment stoppages, recommending adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Track constraints related to workforce availability, trade capacities, specialist service providers, and campaign timing
- Support resource optimization by reviewing trade mixes and proposing adjustments to align with forecasted workloads and resource availability
- Lead schedule-cycle meetings and integrate closely with Planning and Execution teams to ensure efficient and high-quality work execution
- Assist in the development, tracking, and analysis of maintenance KPIs.
- Standardize scheduling tool usage across teams and provide training and support to stakeholders
- Certified Tradesperson with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or a comparable heavy industrial environment
- MMP Certification or willingness to complete MMP Modules 1 & 6 is a benefit
- Proficient in CMMS and scheduling tools such as Maximo, Prometheus, or equivalent platforms
- Knowledge of and experience with process assurance and continuous improvement practices
