- Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) within the ERP system, applying Demand Driven Operating Model (DDOM) principles and methodology to balance demand, capacity, and material constraints. Translate forecasts and sales orders into achievable production plans, ensure forecast accuracy, and monitor execution through ERP data with strong control of Work in Progress (WIP).
- Conduct capacity analysis to identify constraints, bottlenecks, or underutilization, collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to address labor, tooling, and downtime needs, and escalating resource conflicts as required to promote flow.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Production teams to align the Master Schedule with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), providing scheduling insights, identifying risks, and supporting mitigation strategies.
- Drive effective use of ERP scheduling functionality, ensuring adherence to planning parameters, policies, and time fences. Run simulations, what-if scenarios, contingency plans, and generate accurate reports and dashboards to support decision-making. Assist project and sales teams with costing and quotation requests.
- Lead and mentor a team of Production Planners. Oversee planning activities for Engineering deliverables utilizing the Intuiflow Scheduling and Execution software, as well as planning for all make and buy items. Ensure proper router management, work order releases, WIP tracking, and project reporting.
- Manage employee timecards and attendance, and support recruiting, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Track and improve KPIs including forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, lead-time performance, and on-time delivery. Lead schedule review meetings, prepare ERP-based reports, and recommend best practices leveraging Lean, DDOM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Balance customer needs with capacity and material realities, managing risks, competing priorities, and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve delivery commitments while fostering a culture of learning and operational excellence. - Responsible to assist with recruiting, conduct evaluations/promotions, recognition and disciplinary requirements of employees.
- Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration to process customer orders seamlessly.

- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or 5 years of relevant experience in project management, production control, planning, purchasing or manufacturing.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience is required.
- A firm understanding of blueprints, machining, fabrication, and raw materials is preferable.
- A deep understanding of ERP/MRP planning system operation and function.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required (Excel, Teams, Word), Oracle ERP knowledge a plus.
- APICS CPIM or PMP certification is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem resolution, and motivational skills are necessary.
