As a Marine Coordinator, you will be responsible to coordinate voyage planning and the successful execution of Irving Oil Limited marine movements. Your goal will be to minimize or eliminate ship delays and waiting time while improving overall operations and ship movement to best enhance the needs of Irving Oil Limited. Your success will be to coordinate marine movements in scheduling, chartering, reporting and ensuring all logistics activities are completed and communicated. You will also be responsible to collect shipping data, create shipping reports, update and analyze key performance indictors and dashboards to assist in optimal decision making.

- Create and coordinate vessel voyage plan in conjunction with shipping schedule. Back up team members during vacations and time away from the office
- Optimize the vessel plan through coordination with vessel owners and internal and external customers to optimize vessel efficiencies while controlling and minimizing voyage costs
- Issue Voyage orders (for both Load and Discharge Port(s)), issue documentation instructions as required, nominate attending Port Agencies and Marine Inspection companies as required
- Monitor all aspects of the voyage and port operations to maximize vessel efficiencies and thus minimize delays and to ensure vessels are conforming to the needs and requirements of Irving Oil as specified in the Voyage Orders
- Create and optimize a daily dock schedule that meets the stated requirements of the organization and provides transparency and coordination between the Irving Oil Refinery, East Saint John Product Terminal and the invested members of the organization
- Complete and submit customs documentation in alignment with procedures and regulatory requirements
- Assist and support in the evaluation of the completed voyage for determination and calculation of claims arising from same. These will include but not be limited to demurrage, cargo losses, physical damage or contractual non-performance
- Collect and analyze shipping data, produce reports and update Marine dashboards to assist in optimal decision making
- Perform “on-call” duties as required

- Post-secondary education in business or related experience
- 5 – 10 years of experience in Scheduling, Supply Chain, and / or Logistics
- Logistics experience, specifically in the marine field, is preferred
