Manufacturing Associate

The Manufacturing Associate role is responsible for performing hands-on tasks in the production process. This role supports the assembly, fabrication, and inspection of products, following established procedures and quality standards. The Manufacturing Associate will start by learning one manufacturing process and, over time, has the opportunity to grow by learning additional processes, with pay increases tied to expanded skills and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

- Perform tasks in the assembly, fabrication, or sub-assembly processes according to documented procedures.

- Operation production equipment safely and efficiently, following SOP's.

- Follow blueprints, work orders, and job travelers to ensure correct assembly and product quality.

- Maintain accurate records of production output and report issues or discrepancies to the Production Lead.

Quality Assurance & Safety

- Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.

- Identify and report defects or non-conforming materials.

- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting manufacturing standards.

Continuous Improvement & Teamwork

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve production efficiency and processes.

- Suggest ideas for process improvements or ways to reduce waste and improve quality.

- Cross-train in multiple manufacturing processes to support operational flexibility.

Training & Growth

- Participate in training programs to learn additional skills and manufacturing processes.

- Take on more responsibilities as skills develop with corresponding pay adjustments.

- Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a willingness to take initiative.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production is a plus, but not required.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read simple technical documents.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.

- Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift moderate to heavy weight (up to 70 lbs.), and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment

- Manufacturing shop floor, including assembly, fabrication, and packaging areas.

- May require shift work, overtime, or weekend work during peak production periods.

- Exposure to industrial equipment, machinery, and materials used in manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

- We have 2 shifts. The front end shift is Monday - Thursday 4 ten hour shifts. The Back end shift is Friday - Sunday, 3 twelve hour shifts, paid for 40 hours.
