Manual/CNC Machinist

Leem Filtration is a diversified designer and manufacturer of products for filtration.

We produce pressure leaf filters and their components for oilseed processing, biodiesel fuel production, chemical processing, and water treatment applications.

We also produce wedge wire products such as laterals, nozzles, septas, underdrains, strainer baskets and separation screens for various food processing, chemical processing, and water treatment applications.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

· Review specifications or instructions to understand and plan for production of expected output.

· Set up and run equipment such as conventional (manual) lathes and mills and a CNC lathe/mill combo , to complete production to specification.

· Carry out basic programming tasks and adjustments on existing CNC lathe/mill combo programs, and collaborate with consultants on more complex programming requirements.

· Take measurements using tape measures, calipers, feeler gauges and other equipment to mark material for cutting, shaping, and producing output.

· Perform quality inspections of finished parts ensuring finished product meets specifications.

· Monitor production process, identify, intervene, and report issues in a timely manner.

· Monitor, maintain and operate machines to standard and to preventive maintenance plan.

· Consistently adhere to safety and quality policies.

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to run manual lathes and mills

· Ability to run CNC milling/lathe combos

· Ability to do basic CNC programming and modifying existing code

· Ability to use tape measure, dial calipers, depth micrometer, feeler gauges and other measurement devices.

· Good detail orientation, punctuality, and attendance.

· Ability to work with little supervision and as part of a team.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years machining experience, especially experience with lathes

High School diploma/GED

Great communication skills

Trade or Technical certificate or diploma

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
