- Machine Setup: Properly and efficiently set up Haas CNC machining centers for each specific job, including selecting fixtures and securing the workpiece.
- Machine Operation: Safely operate assigned Haas CNC machines according to proper techniques and methods, starting machines and observing their operation to detect malfunctions.
- Quality Control: Ensure all manufactured parts meet customer-required quality levels by performing inspections and measurements using precision tools.
- Monitoring & Adjustment: Monitor the machine's operation to detect deviations or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or settings as needed.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the machine and tooling, and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Documentation: Complete all required production paperwork, documenting any issues or activities related to the job.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints to understand job specifications and production methods.
- Machining Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality standards.
- Precision Measuring Instruments: Proficient in using tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators to verify part dimensions.
