CNC Machinist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to operate various CNC machines including lathes and milling machines. This role involves interpreting blueprints, performing precision measurements, and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Duties

- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision components.

- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM programming software.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.

- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy.

- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product integrity.

- Perform electrical discharge machining as required for specific projects.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes and tooling setups.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

- Assist in assembly tasks as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

Skills

- Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines.

- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

- Experience with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming tools.

- Mechanical knowledge with a solid foundation in manufacturing processes.

- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks.

- Familiarity with plastics injection molding techniques is a plus.

- Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of welding processes is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
