The Manager, Procurement directs and coordinates the activities of personnel who strategically source, procure, and expedite the purchase of parts for manufacture and repair of aero-derivative industrial gas turbines, power turbines, and power plant equipment. This includes sourcing raw materials (e.g., forgings, castings, etc.) and machining of pick-level parts.
· Requires broad management and leadership of buyers of engine parts for FT8Ò and FT4000Ò gas turbine programs and power plant equipment
· Responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships, including delivery and quality performance, cost, and inventory management
· Oversees purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of on-time purchase orders, mitigating terminations, and executing cost-reduction goals
· Owns delivery execution to meet production schedule
· Collaborates with Programs and Operations groups (Materials, Production Planning, Logistics, Warehouse), Quality, Engineering, Legal, and Finance
· Leads cross-functional teams in support of cost, quality, and delivery metrics
· Builds efficient working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
· Ensures team compliance with Procurement Manual and standard work
· Proactively participates in or leads team efforts to achieve departmental, Company, and individual goals and objectives
· Contributes to building a positive team culture
· Communicates effectively with subordinates and management at all levels
· Aptitude for reading, analyzing, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
· Ability to write articulate reports and business correspondence
· Strong proficiency utilizing MS 365 applications, especially Excel
· Mitsubishi Power Aero product experience highly preferred, but not required; experience with other aero-derivative or heavy-frame gas turbine technology acceptable
