Leads the financial reporting function for a business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic goals. Implements systems and processes that improve reporting efficiency and reliability.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Leverages specialized reporting techniques to achieve business objectives, and leads the resolution of highly complex reporting issues.
- Influences key internal and external stakeholders to understand new and upcoming trends in financial reporting that will impact the business, and identifies potential standards and procedures in order to remain compliant.
- Leads the implementation of a robust, comprehensive reporting infrastructure to support all financial reporting cycles with relevant and accurate information, statutory reports, short-term forecasts, budgets and the strategic plan.
- Collaborates across business units on regulatory matters and presents compliance with policies and standards to corporate management and regulatory bodies as appropriate.
- Determines action plans and contributes to consensus building and manages the balance between regulatory compliance and other business objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
