The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $114,332.80 to $142,916.00.
Job Summary
Manages, analyzes, and accounts for the functional area budgets and expenditures. Provides expert assistance on financial and Regulatory matters for operating departments. Advises and manages staff. Responsible for development of staff and ongoing delivery of specialized training.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage, direct, and oversee all financial planning/results activity including the preparation and management of annual/quarterly/monthly CapEx and OpEx budgets.
•Manage the development and enhance reporting metrics to track business performance, identify trends, produce ad-hoc reporting as needed, and proactively engage with functional leaders and senior management to support greater enterprise value creation. Liaison to other local and global leadership peers such as corporate accounting, Investment Planning, Global Smart Grids, etc.
•Lead, manage, evaluate, and develop a diverse team of professional staff members. Additionally, recruit, train, motivate, and retain a professional staff. Support their ongoing professional development and sustain an environment committed to excellence.
•Provide training and tactical assistance for all departmental employees to fully utilize SAP functionality. Including preparation and maintenance of documentation, and procedural guidelines for a positive end user experience. Additionally, maintain and create SAP master in accordance with corporate/FERC accounting requirements and goals.
Required Qualifications
•Experience/Training & Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Information Technology, MBA or CPA preferred.
•At least 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area
•Knowledge of automated accounting systems
•Working knowledge of accounting principles as applied to the utility industry.
•Proficiency with SAP Financials software, fundamentals, and processes
•Analytical and problem-solving skills
•Management or supervisory experience and interpersonal skills
•Ability to convey complex issues and/or solutions to staff and business unit management and employees
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
•Knowledge of business issues and challenges
