The Finance Manager is a key contributing role that will oversee the organization’s finance record-keeping to ensure the business is able to make sound financial decisions effectively and efficiently. This includes the production of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of finance records, and management of a comprehensive set of controls, budgets, and forecasting designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

● Develop and enforce a documented system of finance policies and procedures
● Monitor the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives
● Monitor the finance operations of subsidiary corporations or entities, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
● Develop professionally by remaining aware of new state and federal regulations, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications
· Work closely with owners, managers, and office team members
● Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
● Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
● Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
● Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
● Coordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for a certified public accountant (CPA) firm, for tax-return preparation
● Reconcile all balance-sheet accounts on a monthly basis
● Manage the company's audit (if applicable) and tax preparation by coordinating with external professionals as necessary
● Working knowledge of taxation and corporate structures
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, or equivalent business experience
· Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in finance related role
● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
