JOB SUMMARY
The Manager – Asset Management Analytics is responsible for supporting development and implementation of the Asset Management Program (AMP) companywide. This includes developing and maintaining the AMP Asset Management Systems that support and optimize data collection and analysis of water, wastewater, and chilled water assets that impact the operating and financial performance of SAWS. Furthermore, the manager will lead data analysis, reporting and develop dashboards to monitor effectiveness of the asset management program, establish and monitor metrics related to asset utilization, and through data analysis and forecasting support development of an effective asset risk mitigation program to improve asset reliability with reduced risk while maintaining service levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Completes the inventory of critical assets for production and treatment operations including production facilities, ground storage tank facilities, booster pump stations, wellfields, water treatment facilities, lift stations, odor control stations, and wastewater treatment plants.
•Performs condition assessments for assets within production facilities.
•Establishes key performance indicators and metrics related to equipment utilization, uptime, and preventive maintenance requirements.
•Assesses effectiveness of repairs and identifying critical assets in need of replacement.
•Supports CIP planning and development.
•Develops tools, processes and procedures to support the effective implementation of the asset management program.
•Develops and implements asset management strategies, policies, and procedures.
•Conducts regular asset inspections and condition assessments to identify maintenance needs and replacement requirements.
•Maintains accurate and up-to-date asset records, including acquisition, disposal, and maintenance history.
•Manages asset inventory and ensures that all assets are properly tagged and accounted for.
•Coordinates with other departments and groups to ensure that assets are used efficiently and effectively.
•Monitors and reports on asset performance and utilization.
•Analyzes data, using visualization tools, to communicate with other departments and groups and identifies trends and patterns.
•Creates dashboards and other communication tools to monitor progress and convey status of activities and associated metrics.
•Uses data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
•Develops tools to support data driven decision making.
•Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
•Provides guidance and support to other departments on asset management related activities, and tasks.
•Understands business needs and objectives.
•Develops strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
•Defines department-wide metrics and relevant data sources.
•Relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•Maintains professional relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the Company's core values and customer service.
•Supervises, selects, develops, trains, and evaluates division personnel.
•Prepares and delivers written and verbal presentations to SAWS staff and management and the public.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING* Reports to the Department Director or designated person in charge and works under limited supervision.
•Supervises assigned staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
•Six years of construction management in water, wastewater, and/or reuse water utilities experience including three years of experience in supervising personnel.
•Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or a related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
•Four (4) or more years of relevant industry experience.
•Four (4) or more years of supervisory experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are primarily in an office environment and performs occasional to regular field visits with exposure to traffic, construction, rugged terrain, and hazardous environmental conditions. Operates a company vehicle on an occasional to frequent basis.
Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. Subject to sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing.
May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights and weekends.
