Management Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate across departments.

Duties

- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and journal entries.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to ensure financial health.

- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with SOX and securities law.

- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for financial management.

- Provide technical accounting guidance on issues related to corporate finance.

- Conduct audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.

- Prepare detailed financial reports for management interpretation.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of financial management principles including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Experience with financial report writing and interpretation.

- Familiarity with public accounting practices and auditing standards.

- Ability to analyze financial data for cash flow management and account analysis.

- Knowledge of private equity structures and implications on corporate accounting.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.
