Maintenance Technician

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 1 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week) experienced MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to start as soon as possible. We operate on a rotating shift of days and afternoons.

· Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery

· Troubleshoot and maintain engines, forklifts, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.

· Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.

· Source replacement parts and perform repairs.

· Work with facility manager to continually update the production process and system software.

· Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.

· Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.

· Maintain parts and tools inventory.

· Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.

· Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.

· Repair welder machines.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements

· Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required

· Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics

· Advanced understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment

· Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools

· Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

· High school diploma or GED

· Advanced technical or college training preferred
