- Performs minor and major mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment, including but not limited to combustion turbines, hydroelectric turbines, steam turbines, steam boilers, heat recovery steam generators, pumps, motors, fans, compressors, valves, hydraulic systems, and cranes.
- Performs preventive maintenance on all plant equipment in accordance with schedules to ensure reliable equipment operation.
- Travels to remotely located hydroelectric and combustion turbine plants and performs mechanical maintenance work.
- Maintains familiarity with safety policies; observes and practices all safety precautions.
- Operates forklift or similar machinery, as necessary, to unload delivery trucks, install/remove equipment, and for general material handling.
- Checks for fire and safety hazards and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Participates in training program and continually seeks to improve skills required for general maintenance including pipe fitting, millwright, machinist, welding, etc.
- Executes the duties of the Maintenance Supervisor during absence as directed.
- Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.

- High School Diploma or GED, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to legally operate commercial motor vehicles under 26,000 pounds.
