Provides support to direct and indirect manufacturing and support departments by maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting production equipment, systems and process.
- Performs mechanical troubleshooting and determines repairs needed to restore the equipment to safe and efficient operation condition
- Repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned machines to provide increased machine up-time
- Performs troubleshooting of CNC controls and drives. Assists NC Programmer on major CNC control problems
- Performs accuracy verifications on critical machinery to ensure machines are capable of producing parts to required specifications.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year associate degree in technology plus 5 years of experience.
- Licensed Electrician.
- Experience in the following core areas: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, PLC logic, CNC and pneumatics.
- Experience with Allen Bradly RS500/RS5000, GE Series 9030, Koyo (Direct Soft 32), Eaton.
- Must have a strong familiarity and knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and processes, to include operation of presses, shears, welding units and overhead cranes and hoisting systems.
- Must have ability to comprehend complex internal documents such as bills of materials, blue prints, machine schematics, PLC logic diagrams, electrical diagrams and work orders.
- Must have experience using electric, pneumatic, hand tools and forklifts.
- Experience using pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.
- Must have demonstrated ability to rely upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
