Maintenance Technician

Certified Heat treatment in Peoria is a subsidiary of O’Brien Steel Service, Co.’s a family owned and operated steel service center. Certified heat treatment uses sealed quench and induction equipment to heat treat plain carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel and tool steel. Types of processes used are Gas Carburizing, Carbonitriding, FNC and Hardening and Tempering. Maintenance Technician:

We are currently seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to work at our Certified Heat Treating Division in Peoria. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Take the lead on trouble shooting and repairing all electrical equipment, system controls and PLC’s.

- Together with other maintenance personnel, perform preventative maintenance on all operational equipment as scheduled in our QES documents. This essentially involves inspecting, lubricating and replacing critical parts as required.

- Assist with repairing furnaces, cranes and operational equipment hydraulic and pneumatic systems as required.

- Assist in maintaining facility grounds.

Position Requirements:

- High School Diploma

- 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

- Knowledge of 480/277V electrical systems, PLC’s and control systems.

- Familiar with repairing hydraulic – pneumatic systems.

- Able to weld using MIG equipment

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds

- Willingness to work overtime when it is needed

- Ability to work off shift hours when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
