The maintenance technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Perform inspections, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on machinery to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
· Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
· Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctions, mechanical, and other equipment breakdowns, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
· Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment downtime and extend its operational life.
· Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted safely, following safety protocols, and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
· Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
· Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery, equipment, and facilities to determine the root causes of problems.
· Parts Procurement: Order and maintain an inventory of necessary replacement parts, tools, and supplies to facilitate repairs.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to address maintenance needs and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions.
· Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
· Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to address urgent issues and prevent further damage.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a related role.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and maintenance tracking.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Availability for on-call and off-hours maintenance work as needed.
