Maintenance Technician II

Position Summary

Following upon our roots as a family owned and operated business for the past half century, Paraco is leading the way with numerous initiatives including our state of the art production line in Waterbury, CT.

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be vital to our production line and facility maintenance in Waterbury and other locations in which we have propane tank refurbishment operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work with the other maintenance technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation of the production line and facility operations.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

- Through observation of equipment during the day, you will be working with Senior Maintenance Technicians, performing light maintenance, supply management, cleaning and special projects with regard to our production line and facilities.

- Light Maintenance

oGreasing and oiling all equipment/conveyors

oCleaning internal components of equipment

oInternal washer cleaning

oPropane pump system daily maintenance

oAir compressor daily/weekly/monthly maintenance

oWearable part replacement/maintenance

- Janitorial/Cleaning

oLight janitorial work as needed

oRunning floor scrubber

oRust removal and painting of equipment as needed

- Supply Management

- Other duties as assigned by Senior Maintenance Technician, Plant Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.

Desired Skills And Experience

- Basic troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills.

- Experience with hand tools, power tools and test equipment preferred.

- Read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.

- Completion of proactive maintenance and assigned tasks and repairs in a timely manner.

- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent or Vocational Technical Certificate training in at least one of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Plumbing.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at times throughout the day as well as bend, climb, reach, stoop & twist.

- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and thoughtful manner with customers and co-workers.
