The Maintenance Technician ensures the proper and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing both preventative and reactive maintenance. This role involves working with motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, clamps, bearings, bushings, gearboxes, conveyors, and production machines. Responsibilities include:
- Operating machinery, performing product changeovers, and making mechanical and technical adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Using measuring and testing instruments to ensure components remain within specification.
- Adjusting parts, determining required changes, and completing repairs using hand and power tools.
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce the need for reactive maintenance.
