About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-driven Maintenance Supervisor to support ongoing operations at a mining site in Wabush, Labrador. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, leading trades teams, coordinating with operations and planning departments, and ensuring assets are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with client standards.

Key Responsibilities

•

Supervise daily maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, and structural work

•

Ensure work is carried out safely and complies with site procedures and safety protocols

•

Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

•

Collaborate with planners and schedulers to develop and execute short-term maintenance plans

•

Lead toolbox talks, job safety analyses (JSAs), and safety observations

•

Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope

•

Conduct inspections and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability

•

Coach and mentor tradespeople and apprentices, fostering a culture of safety and excellence

•

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, time entry, and work orders in the CMMS (SAP or similar)

•

Support shutdown and turnaround planning and execution as required

About You

•

Red Seal Journeyperson certification in a mechanical, millwright, or electrical trade (or equivalent)

•

5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial and/or mining environment

•

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and reliability principles

•

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards)

•

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

•

Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a high-paced environment

Additional Requirements

•

Ability to work in industrial environments including heights, confined spaces, and dusty/noisy conditions

•

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

•

Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

•

All required PPE and site-specific training will be provided
