Maintenance Supervisor

Collaborate with maintenance manager and maintenance team to execute maintenance plans to ensure plant meets safety, production, cGMP quality and environmental performance. Develop and maintain the support of the Safety, Environment, and Quality (Sustainability) policy throughout the area and plant.

Provide day-to-day technical support including equipment specific details and advanced troubleshooting. Areas of expertise may include pumps, pneumatic conveying, welding, and dry grinding equipment.

Support and lead the maintenance team in maintaining a safe environment both in terms of personnel as well as food/pharmaceutical safety. This may include occasional call-up and call-in duties. Utilize Omya’s computerized maintenance system to track/manager maintenance operations include MRO items.

Work with maintenance manager to develop short and long-term maintenance schedules.

Ensure that maintenance employees are oriented as new hires, maintain the applicable certifications and applicable training for their positions, and maintain a training schedule for the said plant personnel.

Regularly communicate both in writing and verbally on specific projects and needs of area and plant personnel.

Provide information to maintenance employees on performance, training and development of area personnel.

Prior related work experience, preferably as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial related environment, preferably in a dry bulk powder processing facility. Advanced maintenance skills required. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and administrative skills. Strong project management skills and supervisory skills. Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook required with CMS experience desired.
