Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of a 2-shift 2-plant Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for providing the highest levels of safety, equipment availability, performance, and reliability in an automated and manual process production environment as well as a tool room.
- Accountable for safety, quality, cost, and equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards, such as PPE, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, Hot Work, Arc Flash, and lift Standards.
- Provide clear job expectations and assign work across a two-shift operation.
- Help maintenance specialists to diagnose/troubleshoot equipment.
- Help to fix quick-fix items.
- Assure equipment reliability with the PM program execution for reduced downtime.
- Identify and source maintenance parts, supplies, and repair items as needed.
- Help with management of spare parts inventory.
- Make sure maintenance specialists adhere to appropriate conduct standards and practices.
- Support the maintenance team to identify and meet KPI’s.
- Build a collaborative and purposeful team by resolving conflicts as they arise, removing roadblocks, inspiring people to action, and help the team to instill positive changes in the department.
- Provide continuous feedback to the department to push continuous improvement.
- Actively engage and participate in 5S and Kaizen events and help identify improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of Oracle and maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of Kronos and Workday systems
- Communicate with support departments to maintain adequate working environment.
- Support new capital equipment projects as needed.
- Works well in a unionized environment

- Available to work weekends
- Associates or technical degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an equal combination of education and experience.
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment.
- Working knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley) and robotic (Fanuc) systems.
- Experience with maintenance management systems.
- Effective multitasker in a high-volume production environment to direct and support maintenance colleagues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, Production Operations Management, plus 5 years of maintenance or service supervisory work experience.
- Deep understanding in TPM and Lean/6S practices.
- Familiar with maintenance KPI’s such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Equipment uptime.
- Experience directing work to achieve results.
