GENERAL SUMMARY

Provide the leadership and supervision for the Maintenance Support group that provides direct support to the Maintenance Department as well as indirect support for most plant organizations. This position is responsible for Maintenance Support processes, programs and resources in support of the Strategic Objectives of Energy Northwest.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Supervise the Maintenance Support group personnel:

Make decisions about personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary actions, transfers, and terminations.

Resolve personnel problems (exempt, non-bargaining, and bargaining) and work with Labor Relations on grievance issues, joint communications agreements, and negotiations.
Establish clear performance expectations and write performance evaluations for direct reports.

2. Supervise the following Maintenance Support group functions:

Maintenance Procedures
Foreign Material Control Program/Housekeeping/Budget
Maintenance Training Coordination
Preventive Maintenance Program
Fluid Leak Management Program
Technical Support for Component Groups
Prepare, implement, and operate the Maintenance Support group budget, managing within the limitations, reporting variances, continually strategizing to decrease department expenditures to meet Energy Northwest's goals and objectives.
Involvement in the establishment of the vision, goals, and standards of performance that aim the maintenance organization at delivery of effective long-term programs that will enhance the organization's technical and operating performance.
Anticipate the direction of internal (EN) and external (INPO, NRC, Industry) initiatives and identify potential problems and opportunities. Recommend initiatives/solutions to Maintenance Programs Manager.
Participate in self-assessments as required.
Develop and implement performance indicators for the group processes.

3. Responsible for Refueling Outage Preparations including communicating, assigning and tracking the following pre-outage actions:

Coordinating maintenance owner participation in scoping decision making process;
Managing milestone actions for their area/discipline including ensuring milestone completion meets full intent of requirements;
Communicating and obtaining shop/discipline buy-in of schedule;
Verifying adequate man-loading for area/discipline work scope;
Attending all pre-outage meetings/activities as assigned by Outage Manager;
Representing the Maintenance Department in outage preparation.


4. Support other initiatives:

Perform Classroom Observations, OJT/OJE Observations, and Field Observations, looking for improvements in the training area and the work process.
Provide in-depth instruction as required.
Provide duty coverage for Emergency Response Organization (ERO) as requested.
Provide Outage support as requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and six years of experience in a business or production environment of which two years are in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance or engineering

OR An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of experience in a business or production environment of which two years are in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance or engineering

OR High school diploma or GED and ten years of experience in a business or production environment of which two years are in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance or engineering

Pay Range


$141,070.00 - $211,604.00 Annual


Midpoint:


$176,337.00

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.


Incentive Compensation

This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
