We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor for our O&M site to be based in Port Gentil, Gabon. Are you ready to come onboard?
- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of plant systems.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on gas engines, mechanical components, and associated electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to main engine associated auxiliary systems, especially UNIC engine control systems, PLC, automation, and sWOIS.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the power plant.
- Oversee planned, unplanned, and predictive maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and auxiliary systems.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff on electrical, PLC, automation, and mechanical systems.
- Assist in the planning and execution of plant upgrades and modifications.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead maintenance team to ensure the effective implementation of the maintenance strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity by reducing reactive maintenance and improving unplanned downtime of equipment.
- Develop and implement improvement strategies in maintenance costs, equipment reliability, and equipment integrity through the analysis of key performance indicators.
- Execute the maintenance plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines, and allocating resources appropriately.
- Maintain the Maximo (CMMS) up to date with accurate information and provide support and guidance in its effective implementation and use.
- Drive change management and continue the path of preventative maintenance to reduce machine downtime.
- Comply with all relevant safety standards; ensure occupational and environmental safety standards are always maintained and improved where possible.
- Conduct maintenance investigations to identify deficiencies in existing maintenance and optimize asset reliability and maintainability.
- Higher National Diploma(HND) or Degree in Engineering(B.Eng) or Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation.
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in supervisory role at powerplants.
- Troubleshooting experience with Wartsila engine control systems such as UNIC & PLC Automation systems
- Experience on computerised machinery management systems such as Maximo.
- Fluency in English & French language
