Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Reporting to the Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. This position plays a critical role in leading the end-to-end repair and warranty process for components of the underground and surface assets — ensuring high equipment availability, cost efficiency, and technical integrity. You will ensure that planning strategies and deliverables are aligned with the reliability strategy and long-term operational goals. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Repair & Warranty Management:
- Coordinate, track, and complete all components repairs and warranty claims across both surface and underground assets;
- Manage the end-to-end repair workflow ensuring full compliance with technical specifications, QA/QC standards and documentation requirements;
- Maintain and continuously update the Repairable Components Database, capturing and analyzing key metrics such as components serial, repair status, turnaround time, cost, component hours, and spare availability to support informed, data driven decisions;
- Work collaboratively with OEMs and venders (Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc, MacLean, Toromont, etc.) address technical issues, identify improvement opportunities, negotiate warranty recoveries, and ensure the timely delivery of repaired components;
- Validate evaluation reports and repair quotations in coordination with the Maintenance and Supply Chain, and vendor partners to maximize tire life, equipment availability and cost efficiency.
- Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with Planners, Supervisors, and Supply Chain to align component repairs and replacements with the maintenance schedule, minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing asset reliability;
- Actively participate in weekly Planning & Scheduling meetings to provide updates on component status, material readiness, and vendor timelines — ensuring all planned tasks are fully resourced and executable;
- Coordinate with Maintenance Mobile Supervisors and Material Coordinators for sourcing, tagging, and tracking of repair parts, ensuring prompt return of cores and adherence to remanufacture or core-return programs;
- Contribute to tagging and surface staging areas of planned component replacements to ensure readiness, minimize delays, and support efficient execution of maintenance work.
- Inventory and Logistics:
Monitor the condition, location, and readiness of critical spares, adjusting min/max levels for repairable components as operational requirements evolve, and manage final disposition (scrap or sale) in coordination with the Supply Chain team and per AEM policy;
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-controlled surface storage area, collaborating closely with Warehouse and Surface Maintenance teams to ensure full inventory accuracy, traceability, and accountability;
Support procurement requests, including rush orders or SSJ submissions, by working closely with the Procurement team to secure materials and minimize downtime.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance component repair workflows, vendor performance, reliability reporting, and cost optimization;
- Actively support initiatives that improve safety, reliability, and asset performance across the mobile fleet.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the Maintenance & Reliability organization;
- Support department with temporary backfills when applicable.
- Trade Qualified with certification in a maintenance trade preferred or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a mechanical/mining setting;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application and familiar with CCMS programs;
- Valid G Drivers License;
- Excellent working knowlege of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake.
