Maintenance/Quarry Worker

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Quarry Worker to join our team in a mining environment. This role involves operating heavy equipment, maintaining quarry operations, and supporting various construction activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with machinery, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations on-site.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment including Skid steers, haul trucks and other machinery to support quarry and construction activities

- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance

- Help maintain all plant operations.

- Support safety compliance by adhering to MSHA standards and best practices on the mine site

- Conduct inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs

- Assist in general construction tasks related to quarry development and site expansion

Skills

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, water trucks, and other machinery

- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on industrial equipment

- Knowledge of MSHA safety standards applicable to quarry operations

- Experience working on mine sites with a focus on safety and efficiency

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols

Pay: $13.75 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
