About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Develop overall strategy and manage the department to achieve departmental, site and corporate objectives.
•Provide support and advice to the General Manager.
•Set the direction and establish the mid to long-term maintenance and project development plans for the mine.
•Provide site-wide management and leadership for the successful implementation of the reliability focused maintenance management system.
•Monitor key process indicators on a continuous basis in order to improve process efficiency, work quality, and cost effectiveness.
•Support the introduction and development of the concept guidelines documented within the asset management review.
•Coordinate, prepare and submit working cost and capital budgets; analyze and review on a monthly basis.
•Provide input during the development and implementation of the overall mine budget.
•Promote and encourage teamwork and high performance standards in safety, health and environmental stewardship throughout the department.
•Provide clear work objectives and expectations of performance levels required to achieve safe production targets.
•Promote and maintain a results-driven, continuous improvement, performance culture throughout the operation.
•Coach employees and build positive team relationships.
•Ensure cost control of activities; monitor activity progress and adjust work schedules and resource requirements accordingly.
•Maximize equipment availability through efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.
•Prepare budgets and forecasts based on leading reliability centered practices.
•Establish and maintain continuous improvement work practices that align with the Company safety culture and strategic business plan initiatives.
•Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained so the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
•Ensure all undertakings comply with Company policies and standards, as well as federal, provincial and municipal government legislation.

Qualifications And Experience
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in maintenance management
•Must have experienced either within mechanical, electrical and heavy equipment, with supervision experience leading plant maintenance teams
•10 years' progressive management experience
•The successful candidate will have a strong background in predictive and preventive maintenance systems.
•Lead by example, a commitment to working safely and efficiently.
•Possesses cutting-edge knowledge of maintenance systems and familiar with operational efficiency.
•Competent understanding of energy isolation procedures in the workplace.
•Proficient ability in problem solving and strong analytical skills required.
•Proven track record in developing and implementing business improvement across multiple operations is essential.
•Sound knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, as well as plant and equipment systems
•Strong budgeting and forecasting skills using SAP or similar and MS Excel.
•A collaborative team player committed to developing themselves and others.
•Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts, practices, scheduling tools and techniques
•SAP or similar CMMS experience
•Able to adapt to flexible business needs, dependant on district priorities
•A creative and innovative approach to cost control
•Self starter who displays initiative and possesses a strong work ethic
•Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
•Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
•Ability to plan, organize, and direct the strategic maintenance plan

Rotation
• 4 on, 3 off (Monday - Thursday)
• Bunkhouse and Kitchen access are provided while onsite.
• Flights are avalible from Toronto, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Rouyn, QC.
• Travel allowance depending on location
