Maintenance/Diesel Mechanic

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing heavy equipment, particularly diesel engines. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and safety of our fleet, ensuring that all vehicles and machinery operate efficiently. The Diesel Mechanic will work closely with our company to diagnose issues and provide high-quality repairs.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.

- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or replacements.

- Operate heavy equipment, including cranes, to assess functionality and perform necessary repairs.

- Weld and fabricate parts as required to ensure optimal performance of machinery.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician in a dealership or similar setting is preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with Caterpillar products or other heavy equipment brands.

- Experience in welding and fabrication techniques is a plus.

- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is beneficial.

- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their equipment needs.
