Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in operating various machinery and tools. As a Machinist, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling precision parts, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

•

Interpretation of drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

•

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.

•

Create tool paths for use in both 3-axis and lathe machines using CAM software.

•

Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.

•

Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machines and adjusts machine controls as required.

•

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.

•

Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.

•

Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining problems.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work area

•

Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.

•

Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.

Qualifications

•

2-3 years demonstrated experience working in Machining and CAM in a manufacturing environment.

•

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.

•

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.

•

Ability to read and follow drawings/blueprints.

•

The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

•

Experience in 3-axis and lathe HASS machines and Fusion 360 CAM required.

•

Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands.

•

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
