Machinist
Position:
We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist! The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines used in the production of architectural millwork, including Moulders, Doweling Machines, Edge Banders and CNC Machines.

Responsibilities:
•Efficiently operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines, beam saws, and edge banding machines.
•Acts as the primary operator for one main machine to run, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot.
•Upholds quality standards through record keeping and by maintaining equipment and supplies.
•Anticipates and balances the workload based on established general guidelines and can meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
•Exercises sound judgment and perform work with minimal supervision.
•Ensures the quality of the produced work is acceptable
•Takes on other responsibilities as assigned
•Machine various wood species and solid surface according to drawing specifications for assembly.
•Operates a bar code scanning system to label and scan parts to assign to the appropriate bin
•Proficiently operates computers to look up material and track labor by job
Must Have Skills:
•Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving wood.
•Detail-oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
•Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
•Basic knowledge of measuring and calculating project dimensions using a tape measure and calculator.
•Able to reliably commute to our River Falls, WI office, which is a short distance from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area.
•Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or more.
•Competent in operating a forklift.
•At least one year of experience in CNC machining or cabinet making.
Nice to Have Skills:
•Degree or Certificate in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, or Wood Technology.
•2-3 years of experience operating CNC, Edge banders, Molders, Beam Saws, Planers, and Dowel Insertion Machines.
•Capability to perform maintenance on machinery.
•Advanced knowledge of machine requirements such as tooling and chip load rates.

Pay: $20.50 - $28.00 per hour
